CA Technologies of Islandia said an evaluation of one of its software products shows that it helped improve the quality of information technology at a multi-state Roman Catholic healthcare system.

The software client is Catholic Health East, with facilities from Florida to Maine. It has 54,000 employees, with 33 acute care hospitals, five long-term acute care hospitals, 24 long-term care homes, 11 assisted-living communities and 39 home health care agencies.

The health care system operates three Catholic health networks in New York. None are on Long Island or in New York City.

The software, CA Oblicore Guarantee, improved info technology service quality by measuring and reporting on achievements in targeted areas.
