The Nassau County Industrial Development Agency is expected Wednesday night to consider tax breaks for a candy manufacturer and a security company.

Nassau Candy Distributors Inc. is seeking support for its planned purchase of a 127,000-square-foot building at 300 Duffy Ave. in Hicksville. The company would use the property for a factory and warehouse.

Records show Hicksville-based Nassau Candy is looking for breaks on its property-tax and sales-tax bills. It specializes in chocolates, licorice and gourmet foods.

Separately, IntraLogic Solutions Inc. has requested county support for its purchase of 511 Ocean Ave. in Massapequa. The company told the IDA that it would double the size of the building, to 17,000 square feet, for use as a “security command center and warehouse.”

IntraLogic, based in Massapequa, provides video-surveillance cameras and security systems for school districts, parks and businesses, among others. It is seeking breaks on the mortgage recording tax, sales tax and property taxes over a 10-year period, records show.
