Three large-format printers made by Lake Success-based Canon USA Inc. have won “BERTL Best” awards from an independent research organization.

The Best of 2010 awards were for Canon's imagePROGRAF iPF8300, iPF6350 (at left) and iPF6300 printers.

The 15th annual awards were given by the Business Equipment Research and Test Laboratories Inc., of Fairfield, N.J. in July. BERTL rates imaging devices and other business equipment based on “a combination of rigorous analysis and research,” the organization says on its website.

Canon said the awards were given to the printers “based upon their extraordinary image quality, enhanced image processing capability and advanced printing technologies including the new LUCIA EX pigment ink set.”

Jim Rosetta, vice president and general manger, Imaging Systems Group, Canon USA., said, “Since its launch, the imagePROGRAF line has established itself as the preferred choice for professionals seeking a highly-versatile, easy-to-navigate solution capable of delivering extraordinary color-intensive output.”
