Canon USA was recently recognized as a “green” company by brand consultancy Interbrand. The electronics company was ranked 29 out of a list of 50 “Best Global Green Brands” because of their expansion of eco-friendly products, as well as for their ongoing effort to make their US offices more energy efficient.

Canon has recently opened its Canon Americas headquarters in Melville. Their employees volunteer time to protect and improve the environment near Canon offices, and the company currently has over 200 products that incorporate energy efficient technology.

“Our company’s commitment to the environment is an integral part of Canon’s management structure, product design, manufacturing and corporate culture,” CEO of Canon U.S.A. Joe Adachi said.
