eCarList

DealerUps, a privately held Levittown maker of sales software for car dealers, has been bought by a Texas company.

The buyer, eCarList, of Dallas, did not say how much it paid for the Long Island company.
DealerUps specializes in "customer relationship management" software that can easily be adapted to smart phones and other mobile electronics.

The software allows car dealers and salespeople to track all their potential customers in a single database. The software keeps track of leads from walk-in customers, telephone inquiries, past clients, referrals and online sources such as Cars.com, Edmunds.com, kbb.com and AOL Autos, the company said.

Dealership inventory and other data is also incorporated into the database.

DealerUps was founded in 2000 and is managed and led by Parayil & Mann Dealer Services Inc., "industry experts with more than four decades of extensive automotive retail experience," a news release from eCarList said. (That's a sliver of eCarList's web site, above left.)
