Carr Business Systems expands in Melville

Carr Business Systems has outgrown its Melville headquarters and is renting space nearby for its sales employees, real estate executives said.

Carr has finalized a sublease agreement at 324 South Service Rd., also in Melville, for 14,500 square feet. Athene Annunity and Life Co had occupied the space, according to Oxford & Simpson Realty Services Inc., which represented Carr in the negotiations.

Under the agreement, Carr is receiving $250,000 worth of furniture, electronics and other office equipment from Athene.

In the space talks, Athene was represented CBRE Inc. The building is owned by T. Weiss Realty.

Carr, a division of Xerox, is based at 130 Spagnoli Rd. in Melville. It also has a Manhattan office.
