Centereach auto body repair leader honored
Ed Kizenberger, executive director of the Centereach-based Long Island Auto Body Repairers Association, has received a lifetime achievement award from a national trade group.
Kizenberger got the award in mid-March at a dinner meeting of the Society of Collision Repair Specialists in New Jersey.
"Ed is never shy to roll up his sleeves to display the leadership and creativity necessary to succeed," Barry Dorn, a past chairman of the group, said in a prepared statement.
"He stands up for the rights of the consumer and repairer because it is the right thing to do; he doesn't take 'no,' for an answer. I have learned a lot from him, as has our membership and the industry. He's an invaluable resource."
Kizenberger founded the New York State Auto Collision Technicians Association and the Long Island Auto Body Repairers Association, the society said.
