Charity boxing match among LI business community next week

Following months of lead-up announcements, the Long Island Fight for Charity will take place next Monday night.
Local businessmen and women raise train and raise money to participate in the event, which this year is pitting 23 participants against each other. The fighters this year include people like small business owner Sal "The Hammer" Ferro and lawyer Terese "The Knockout" Arenth.
The event, which also includes networking, starts at 6 p.m. at the Melville Hilton and is expected to attract more than 1,000 attendees. The high interest in the boxing match -- tickets are nearly sold out -- has also prompted the organizers to arrange to stream the fights on pay-per-view this year.
