Strong sales performance in 2009 has propelled Aceto Corp. of Lake Success into the ranks of the biggest chemical suppliers on the continent and in the world.

It made the top 10 list in North America and the top 25 list worldwide.

It's ranked #7 in North America and #22 in the world.

Traded on the Nasdaq, Aceto bills itself as "a global leader in the sourcing, quality assurance, regulatory support, marketing and distribution of pharmaceuticals... specialty chemicals and crop protection products.”

The rankings were compiled by ICIS, a chemical industry publisher of news, analysis and pricing. Above left is Aceto's new chief, Albert Eilender.
