For the second time in less than two weeks, Coach Realtors has bought another real estate agency, this time Roxbury Realty in Rockville Centre.

The acquisition comes after Northport-based Coach closed its deal in late June with Coldwell Banker Matherson in West Islip, a firm run by Geoff Matherson, a longtime friend of Coach co-owner Lawrence Finn.

Finn’s son, Lawrence P. Finn III, said his company had been courting Roxbury and Matherson for years, and it just happened that both deals came together around the same time.

He declined to disclose the price for Roxbury, but said it fell along the lines of a traditional real estate agency deal -- cash up front, then cash over time.

“They have a great reputation, and they’re great business people in the local community,” said Finn, director for corporate services at Coach.

He said his family looks for agencies whose business practices and company philosophies about treating customers match Coach’s. His company got to know Roxbury agents through home deals.

Roxbury broker owners named on the company's website, Regina Hall and Sheila Lawrence, could not be reached for comment. The website lists eight agents.
