The deadline to bid on 13.25 acres of land owned by the Cold Spring Country Club has been set for March 13.

The undeveloped parcel, located between the club’s golf course and Oheka Castle in Huntington, is zoned for construction of up to 185 condominiums, according to the brokerage marketing the property, Cushman & Wakefield.

The country club announced in January it was selling the property.

In 2012, the Huntington town board approved a zoning change allowing development on the land and a portion of the castle property.

In 2016, Oheka’s owner, Gary Melius, and the board of the Cold Spring Country Club sought to strike a development deal with golf great Jack Nicklaus and developer Stanley Gale, but the talks fell through.
