Commack High School students to pitch product ideas
Students from Commack High School will present their ideas for four products at the May 20 meeting of the Suffolk County Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club.
The students learned about the inventing process in a year-long course taught by Richard Kurtz, a science teacher. Kurtz worked with local inventor Brian Fried to develop the course. Fried leads the inventors club in Suffolk and a similar one in Nassau County.
The free inventors' meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the media room of the H. Lee Dennison County Office Building, 100 Veterans Memorial Hwy., Hauppauge. Valid identification is required to attend. For information, contact club coordinator Lisa Broughton at 631-853-4805 or lisaann.broughton@suffolkcountyny.gov.
