Company offers Halloween tips
Scare your party guests — not your wallet.
That’s one Halloween party topic on 1-800-FLOWERS.com’s subsidiary website, Celebrations.com.
And speaking of celebrating, Halloween is a feel-good time for the Carle Place company, says Jim McCann, chief executive.
McCann was proud to tell industry analysts yesterday, in a phone conference call, that Celebrations.com’s marketing has made it the top-ranked Google search result for the words "halloween party".
The company is pushing hard to make its presence felt outside the realm of flowers. Gourmet food and gift basket sales are growing. Now, so are party planning sales. These are helping offset a seasonal slackening of floral business, McCann says.
