Comtech gets $1M telecom deal from Asian company

A subsidiary of Melville-based Comtech Telecommunications Corp. has a new $1 million order from an Asian cellular operator to expand its mobile network.
The subsidiary is Comtech EF Data Corp., of Tempe, Ariz. The sale includes infrastructure equipment such as the company's CDM-625 Advanced Satellite Modem, companion redundancy switches and the CSAT-5060 C-Band Transceivers.
Fred Kornberg, president and chief executive of Comtech Telecommunications Corp., said, "Our technologies will enable this operator to ... realize sustainable and profitable service expansion."
