Conference for financial organizers

Daily money manager – sounds like a high-flying someone who deals with billions of dollars over the course of the day.

Actually, such managers – also known as financial organizers – help regular folks organize and make sense of their financial and medical insurance paperwork, and even provide bill paying services when called on.

Senior citizens, the disabled, busy professionals make up client lists of such money professionals, says Rebecca R. Eddy, a certified daily money manager and president of the year-old Greater New York Chapter of the American Association of Daily Money Managers.

That group is planning its first regional conference Jan. 22 in Manhattan, featuring sessions on marketing, technology and protecting client information. Among the speakers:

--Adrian Miller, sales trainer, Port Washington (above left);
--Ellen DePasquale, consultant and technology enthusiast, Little Neck, who's also leader of the Long Island chapter of Webgrrls International.
