Container Store hosting super fan contest ahead of LI debut

In less than four weeks, Long Island's own version of The Container Store will hold a grand opening at its Garden City location. To celebrate, the store is hosting a super fan contest to offer one lucky Long Islander the chance to spend opening day in VIP style.
Those who want to enter must go to The Container Store's Facebook page (facebook.com/containerstore) and leave a comment about why they deserve the super fan status.
The winner will receive a super fan shopping cart, prizes from the storey, a gift card and an invitation to the store’s private preview party. The winner also will be the first to enter The Container Store when it opens at 9 a.m. Aug. 11.
The contest was announced Monday and will run through Aug. 3.
The opening was announced this February. The store will be located in the Gallery at Westbury Plaza in Garden City, and will hire about 60 new employees.
