Daniel Gale Sotheby's buys Roslyn brokerage

Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty has acquired a Roslyn-based real estate brokerage, the company announced Monday.

Coldwell Banker Claire Sobel Real Estate’s office will remain open at 27 Powerhouse Rd., under the name of its new corporate parent.  Daniel Gale Sotheby’s also operates another Roslyn office at 1400 Old Northern Blvd.

The newly purchased firm has a 55-year history in the town, according to a news release about the transaction. Its former owner, Roy Sobel, earned his real estate license at age 18 and is an active member of the Long Island Board of Realtors.

Based in Cold Spring Harbor, Daniel Gale Sotheby’s has nearly 600 sales associates in 21 offices across Long Island.
