DealerTrack buys Conn. vehicle title firm

DealerTrack Holdings Inc., the Lake Success-based car sales software maker, has agreed to buy a Connecticut company.

It will pay $131 million in cash for triVIN Holdings Inc., of Groton, Conn., a provider of automobile title management services to lenders and vehicle registration services to car dealers.

TriVIN's business complements that of DealerTrack, whose software systems connect car dealers with a range of loan choices for vehicle buyers.
