Lake Success-based DealerTrack Inc. says it has connected its 900th active financing source to its credit-application network of regional and national banks, credit unions and independent finance agencies.

The software system connects car dealers, through computer terminals, with a range of loan choices  for vehicle-buying customers.

Mark O'Neil, company chairman and chief executive, said in a Monday news release: "By providing dealers with free online access to such a broad lender universe, we are helping them sell more cars by expanding their financing relationships."

Parent company DealerTrack Holdings, which trades under the Nasdaq  symbol TRAK, calls  itself "a leading provider of on-demand software and data solutions for the U.S. automotive retail industry."
