Dick's Sporting Goods announced Friday it is hiring for a new store opening this fall in Patchogue.

The retailer said it is looking for applicants passionate about sports or the outdoors to work in the Gateway Center Two, 499-64 Sunrise Hwy. in Patchogue.

Dick's single-level stores typically employ about 50 full- and part-time workers, company officials said. To apply, visit dickssportinggoods.jobs.

The store will feature athletic and outdoor apparel and footwear, and gear for team sports, fitness, camping, hunting and fishing. The Pittsburgh-based company, founded in 1948, operates more than 574 locations across the United States.
