Mikasa, the kitchenware line owned by Lifetime Brands, of Garden City, has launched a new video marketing campaign, aimed at selling the brand name to newlyweds, titled "Making Life Memorable."

It's targeted at brides and grooms registering for tabletop items, the company says.

"The video will be used for bridal and training events, online selling sites and web-based outreach including distribution on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and blogs," Mikasa said.

Established in 1948, Mikasa was bought by Lifetime Brands in 2008. It makes dinnerware, glassware, flatware, giftware and home décor items.

Lifetime Brands also owns the Farberware, KitchenAid, Pfaltzgraff, Cuisinart, Calvin Klein kitchenware, CasaModa, Gorham International Silver, Kirk Stieff, Nautica, Pedrini, Sabatier, Towle Silversmiths, Tuttle, Wallace and Vasconia brands.

Photo shows Mikasa's swirly heart patterned Champagne flutes, which sell for $58 a pair.
