Dunkin' free coffee codes dropped, all have been redeemed

Dunkin' treated its customers to 1 million free coffees today.
The promotion began at 12 p.m. EST Thursday, and by 2:30 p.m., all of the codes had been redeemed, a press representative for the company confirmed.
Coffee lovers were able to grab a free cup of joe, hot or iced, in the Dunkin' app with the promo code JUST4U. The limit was one per customer and all certificates will be valid for three days after promo code entry, a representative of the company told Newsday via email.
The Dunkin' app was displaying technical glitches shortly after word of the freebie started to spread through social media.
To snag a free coffee, customers had to be enrolled in the Dunkin' rewards program and enter the code in the Offers and Rewards section of the app.
Thursday's promotion continued the celebration of the brand's recent collaboration with the New England apparel company L.L. Bean. The nationwide coffee brand held another giveaway earlier this week, offering free cup sleeves designed to look like L.L. Bean sweaters to those who purchased any size coffee on Tuesday.
National Coffee Day is Sept. 29, and Dunkin' has celebrated by offering freebies in years past — the chain has not announced anything special for next week, as of yet.
