The low-cal, quick-serve Energy Kitchen chain has a new franchise agreement to open restaurants in Woodbury, Huntington and Garden City, selling its Acai Berry Blast smoothies, Thai chicken wraps and bison burgers.
"The signed agreement… is the second deal for Long Island and is part of an aggressive expansion plan calling for 50 of the calorie-conscious eateries throughout Greater New York in the next 4-5 years," the company says.
Energy Kitchen has said it's looking to expand throughout Long Island and wants franchisees willing to go into business.
Energy Kitchen says its meals are mostly under 500 calories and made with healthy ingredients.
