State and local officials are gathering in Calverton this morning with area farmers to announce the purchase of a building for a new agricultural business park.

The facility will be located at 2711 Sound Ave. and be run by J. Kings, which specializes in the storage and transportation of fruits and vegetables.

Last year, the project received $500,000 from the state. It will include a vacuum cooler to extend the shelf life of produce.

Lt. Gov. Robert J. Duffy will participate in today's event.
