Former Long Island Association head Matt Crosson is recovering from a stroke after an emergency surgery last month, said officials at the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, where he is now president and chief executive.

Crosson will need to go through several weeks of rehabilitation and is expected to be out until early next year, said chamber spokeswoman Cara Roberts.

“His prognosis for a full recovery remains very good,” she said.

Crosson, who led the LIA for 16 years, said on Sept. 23 that he was not feeling well. He went to a hospital, where the surgery took place.
