Former New York Mets player and coach Bud Harrelson will discuss his experiences founding and building the Long Island Ducks during a seminar Thursday at Hofstra University.
 
Harrelson, who won two World Series with the Mets, will be the featured speaker at the latest Operation Downtown Seminar series, co-sponsored by the Scott Skodnek Business Development Center and Astoria Federal Savings. As the Long Island Ducks co-owner and senior vice president, Harrelson will share insights about bringing a business to Long Island.
 
This free event will take place from 8 to 10 a.m., Thursday, at the Hofstra University Club, David S. Mack Hall, on the North Campus. Seating is limited and reservations are required. For more information, call 516-463-7214 or email bdc@hofstra.edu.
