Exec joins Melville aerospace parts maker

Melville-based Park Electrochemical Corp. has appointed a new vice president for quality engineering.
Frank Alberto Jr. previously worked for Sun Microsystems, Sanmina-SCI Corp., Hadco Corp. and Microfab Inc.
Alberto has an undergraduate degree in environmental engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a master's degree from the University of Massachusetts.
He previously held several executive positions at Sanmina-SCI Corp., a leading electronics contract manufacturing services company, and its predecessor, Hadco Corporation, a major manufacturer of advanced electronic interconnect systems, Park said.
Park makes high-strength, lightweight parts for airplane wings and space shuttle rocket nozzles. In addition to their use on aerospace fuselages, wings, cockpits and struts, Park's materials are also made into parts for wind energy, automotive and other industrial technologies.
