The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) announced that Gerald Stokes, left, has been named to its recently created consumer advisory council. NYISO is an Albany-based, not-for-profit company that, in collaboration with electricity markets, ensures the power needs of the state are met by management of its bulk electricity system. The advisory council will provide a forum for the exchange of information between NYISO and electricity consumers. Stokes is a Mount Sinai resident and associate director for global and regional solutions at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton.
Susan Ring, center, has been named president of the board of directors at the Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence. She has been a board member since 1996. The Massapequa resident is first vice president, director of branch banking at Astoria Federal Savings.
Ralph J. Kreitzman, right, mayor of the Village of Great Neck, has been named to the executive committee of the New York State Conference of Mayors and Municipal Officials. Kreitzman holds the position of senior counsel and heads the real estate practice group at Hughes Hubbard & Reed in Manhattan. He lives in the Village of Great Neck.
