FalconStor names Gary Quinn executive VP, chief operating officer

FalconStor Software Inc., a computer data storage company based in Melville, has named Gary Quinn executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Quinn, 52, will oversee FalconStor’s global support operations, including sales and marketing and product support. He was previously the company’s vice president of sales and marketing. Quinn joined FalconStor last year and previously spent more than 20 years at CA Technologies of Islandia.

“In the past year, Gary has demonstrated his executive leadership and operational skills to enhance sales and marketing in North America, establishing new best practices and empowering his team to work smarter,” FalconStor president and chief executive Jim McNiel said in a statement announcing the promotion.
