The developer of an apartment complex with retail stores in Farmingdale is seeking tax breaks from the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency, records show.

BWC Realty Partners Llc. has applied for a Payment In Lieu of Taxes agreement on a proposed mixed-use building near the Long Island Rail Road station in the village’s downtown. The developer also is seeking a break on the mortgage recording tax and sales tax on furniture, equipment and fixtures for the new, $30-million building.

The project, located at 120 Secatogue Ave., consists of 115 apartments, shops and an underground parking garage for tenants. It recently won unanimous approval from the village board.

BWC must demolish a warehouse to construct the 162,000-square-foot, three-story building.

The development agency also has received these aid requests:

* MCRT Northeast Llc. wants to construct a five-story apartment building at Old Country Road and Willis Avenue in Mineola. The project consists of 275 rental units and an underground parking garage.

Originally proposed as a nine-story condominium building, the proposal drew fire from Mineola and Garden City officials.

MCRT also wants to erect a four-story building on Front Street, also in Mineola. The 36 units would be for seniors at affordable rents, the company told the IDA.

* Litigation Settlement Administration Corp. is seeking to buy and renovate a 5,000-square-foot office at 801 South Broadway in Hicksville.

The IDA’s board of directors is set to discuss the three projects at its June 28 meeting.
