Fonar announces latest sale of upright scanner

Melville-based Fonar Corp. said Tuesday that it has sold another Upright Multi-Position MRI to a radiologist in Florida.

Fonar president Dr. Raymond V. Damadian said the upright magnetic resonance scanner enables a “radiologist to ask the patient to put himself in the position ... that generates his pain, which no other scanner can do.”
