Free franchising workshops
Franchisers eyeing Long Island and the New York area for expansion will be featured tomorrow at two free workshops, where they will discuss franchise researching, business opportunities and financing methods.
Kensington Co., a Roslyn Heights consulting firm specializing in franchising, is hosting lunch and dinner workshops at Plainview’s Carlyle at the Palace. Ten franchiser companies, including several billion-dollar businesses, will make presentations and meet with entrepreneurs to answer questions.
Different franchise opportunities will be highlighted, including retail and home-base models. Among the franchisers attending the presentation will be Massapequa-based Swirls and Twirls, the self-service yogurt concept with several Long Island locations; Title Boxing, a Kansas-based fitness franchiser; CertaPro Painters, based in King of Prussia, Pa.; and Minneapolis-based Great Clips, a hair salon franchise.
There will be a lunch workshop from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and a dinner workshop from 5:40 to 8:30 p.m.
