Job-seekers who have a tough time finding work because of their criminal records will get an assist from a Suffolk County-sponsored job fair.

The “Fresh Start Career Expo” will take place Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Suffolk County Community College’s Michael J. Grant campus in Brentwood. Employers from various industries, including technology, manufacturing and retail, will be on hand.

On Wednesday, March 30, the county will host a job fair for the general public at the Northport Public Library from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. So far, three dozen employers are scheduled to attend, including A Gentle Touch Senior Home and Health Care, Bob’s Discount Furniture and Teachers Federal Credit Union.

Both events are sponsored by the county’s One-Stop Employment Center. Go to bit.ly/LIjobfair for more information on these events and other upcoming fairs.
