Fuoco Group, an accounting consultancy based in Hauppauge, announced Thursday it will be merging with Dohan Salum + Company, a Miami CPA firm.

The combined businesses will operate under the name Fuoco Group. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The move is meant to expand the company's operations in South Florida. Lou Fuoco, a managing partner at the company, said: “This merger is part of Fuoco Group’s plan to develop strong practice niches and expand our geographical reach. It establishes a significant presence for Fuoco Group in the Miami area.”

Fuoco has acquired a string of businesses this year. In August, it merged with AIB Forensics, a forensic accounting firm that had offices in both Long Island and South Florida.
