Garden City kitchenware maker nominates director

Garden City-based Lifetime Brands Inc., a maker of kitchenware, dining and home decor products, has a new board member nominee, Michael J. Regan, whose candidacy is set for a vote at the company's annual meeting in June.

Lifetime Brands makes and markets Farberware, Cuisinart, Mikasa and numerous other brands.

Regan is a former vice chairman and chief administrative officer of KPMG Llp and was the lead audit partner for many Fortune 500 companies during his 40-year tenure with KPMG, Lifetime Brands said in a Tuesday news release.

Jeffrey Siegel, Lifetime’s chairman, president and chief executive, said in a statement that Regan's "distinguished career as an audit partner in a large international accounting firm, his financial, business and strategic acumen, his knowledge of the retail and consumer products industries, and his extensive public company board experience will all be extremely valuable to Lifetime Brands. We look forward to his contributions.”

In addition to Farberware, Cuisinart and Mikasa, Lifetime Brands products include KitchenAid, CasaM?da, Cuisine de France, Guy Fieri, Hoffritz, Kizmos, Misto, Pedrini, Roshco, Sabatier, Savora and Vasconia, Pfaltzgraff, Creative Tops, Calvin Klein, Gorham, International Silver, Kirk Stieff, Nautica, Sasaki, Towle Silversmiths, Tuttle, Wallace, V&A and Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, Elements, Melannco, Kamenstein and Design for Living.
