(AP) — Germany's interior minister says there will be a thorough investigation following a security breach at Munich airport, after a man was able to leave a screening area with his laptop after it had triggered an alert for possible explosives.

Interior Minister Thomas De Maiziere told a German radio station on Thursday that his agency would find those responsible for the breech.

Wednesday's incident appeared to have been a false alarm, triggered by a passenger in a hurry to catch his plane who was unaware of what had happened. Police are still searching for the man.

Part of the Munich airport's Terminal 2 was closed for several hours following the incident and hundreds of people were evacuated.
