Globecomm chief to get Grumman award

The Cradle of Aviation Museum on Thursday will bestow its Leroy R. Grumman Award on David Hershberg, chief executive of Hauppauge-based Globecomm Systems Inc.
Hershberg will be honored for his "lifetime technical achievement, contribution and leadership in the advancement and success in the satellite and communications industry."
The award will take place at the Eighth Annual Cradle of Aviation Museum Air & Space in Garden City.
The Air & Space Gala helps support the development of new activities and educational programs, and honors the accomplishments of leaders in aerospace and technology.
