Globecomm, a Hauppauge-based manufacturer and designer of satellite communication devices, Monday announced it has won a contract from the Navy worth up to $85 million.

The contract is to supply satellite equipment for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Atlantic, in Charleston, S.C.,  at a set price for unlimited orders. The deal is worth up to $17 million per year with the option of extending for four more years -- bringing its value  to $85 million.

Globecomm will compete against two other companies with similar US Navy contracts for orders during those four years.
