Globecomm Systems Inc. of Hauppauge on Tuesday will host a forum on wireless and broadband communications for rural areas.

Its Techforum 2010 will take place at the home office of Globecomm, a maker of satellite-based communications systems.

Space is limited. Anyone who wants to attend may e-mail fdugourd@globecommsystems.com to request an invitation.

Planned speakers include:
Steven Berry, president of the Rural Cellular Association, of Washington, D.C.
David Tews, vice president of Indigo Wireless, Wellsboro, Penn.
Mickey Simms, general manager of Buggs Island Telecom, Bracey, Va.
