Gold Coast Bank making house calls to make home loans
Islandia-based Gold Coast Bank has entered the residential mortgage business -- and it's making house calls. The bank said it will take applications in customers' homes or offices, if they wish.
Chief financial officer Catherine Califano said the five-branch, privately held bank began accepting applications for mortgages over the summer.
John Tsunis, the bank's chairman and chief executive, said in a statement, "Our approach in this area focuses on the personal touch."
The six-year-old bank has more than $261 million in assets.
