A golf outing Monday sponsored by CA Technologies will benefit AdoptaPlatoon's Walking Wounded Program and the Fisher Houses at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Taking place at the Hamlet Willow Creek Golf and Country Club in Mount Sinai, it will be the fifth consecutive annual CA golf fundraiser for the charities.

The funds raised will support U.S. troops who have been injured or wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan, as well as their family members, a news release from the Islandia-based software company said.

The fundraiser is coordinated by Daniel Kolenda, a CA vice president who is a major in the Army Reserves, and who got "many morale-lifting care packages from AdoptaPlatoon while he served in Iraq," the news release said.
