Google:

Locations:

The company owns the Chelsea Market building and a nearby building at 111 Eighth Ave. It leases space at 85 10th Ave. and at Pier 57, a commercial space on the Hudson River.    

Its Hudson Square Campus will encompass buildings at 315 and 345 Hudson St. and 550 Washington St.

Square footage:

The Hudson Square campus will be 1.7 million square feet.

Investments:

The company will invest more than $1 billion to develop the campus.

Incentives:

Neither the Empire State Development Corp. nor the city Economic Development Corp. provided tax incentives for the campus project.

Jobs:

Google currently has 7,000 employees in New York City, but will have the capacity to more than double that over the next 10 years, the company’s chief financial officer wrote in a blog post Monday.

Amazon:

Locations:

The company's midtown office is at 7 W. 34th St. and in Hudson Yards at 450 W. 33rd St. Its Staten Island fulfillment center is in the Global Logistics Park on the West Shore.The Queens hub will be located on Long Island City’s waterfront, between 44th Drive and 46th Avenue.   

Square footage:

Amazon will open a 4 million-square-foot office space and will expand to between 6 and 8 million square feet within 15 years.

Investments:

Amazon will invest $2.5 billion in the HQ2 project.

Incentives:

The state offered Amazon a $1.5 billion incentive package — the largest in the state’s history — to lure the company to Queens. The city is also expected to reduce the company’s property taxes by $386 million over time and provide tax credits for savings of nearly $900 million.

Jobs:

The company said its Long Island City headquarters will create 25,000 jobs. Its fulfillment center in Staten Island will employ 2,500 people and its midtown offices will house 2,500 employees, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo said in a news release.
