Great Neck Plaza's summer sidewalk sale, with the participation of hundreds of shops and restaurants, continues as planned Thursday through Sunday.
But Promenade Night, scheduled for Thursday, has been postponed until July 14 "due to weather reports," ShopGreatNeck, the district's website, reports. (Thunderstorms are forecast.) The promenade features outdoor dining and entertainment.
The summer sidewalk sale is sponsored each year by the Plaza's business improvement district.
Other local events planned for this year include a Promenade Night on Middle Neck Road, on Aug. 11; the Street Festival on Sept. 18; and the Halloween Parade on Oct. 30
Great Neck Plaza is the commercial district of Great Neck, with upscale clothing and jewelry stores, banks and restaurants. A clock tower marks a central point in the district, at the intersection of Grace Avenue and Middle Neck Road.
