Representatives of the German discount grocery chain will be on hand to meet with job seekers at its Bay Shore store on June 6, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. The hiring event is one of seven being held in the state and in New England on the same day. The company is seeking job applicants to fill 30 manager trainee positions throughout the Northeast region.

Manager trainees earn $25 an hour, the company said. Store managers can earn more than $75,000 a year, the company said. Retail and management experience is preferred. Job applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, be able to lift up to 45 pounds and be able to work anytime between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m.
