Discount grocer ALDI is looking to hire on Long Island.

The grocery store chain will hold a job fair in the Courtyard Marriott in Farmingdale next Monday to fill around 20 positions for their Long Island locations. The store chain, known for its discount prices and minimalistic approach to selling groceries, wants to hire cashiers, shift managers and manager trainees.

The fair will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, with a break from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Job seekers should bring resumes.

Wages for the positions start at $12.10 per hour for cashiers, $16.10 per hour for shift managers, and $25 per hour for manager trainees. Those who work 20 hours a week or more are eligible to receive health benefits.

An ALDI spokeswoman said the company is looking to hire 14 cashiers, 4 shift managers and 2 manager trainees.

There are currently two ALDI stores on Long Island -- in Bay Shore and Lake Grove. A third store is scheduled to open in Lindenhurst early next year.
