The Melville natural foods maker Hain Celestial Group Inc. has voluntarily recalled three varieties of tortilla chips because they contain soy and wheat that are not disclosed on package labels, the Food and Drug Administration said in a news release.

Prime Choice Foods, an independent company that produces and packages the chips for Hain Celestial, packaged the  Garden of Eatin' chips in the wrong bag -- with the wrong ingredient label, the FDA said.

"Consumers who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat or soy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products," the FDA said.

No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to date, the agency said. The recall was a precaution.

Many supermarkets, including Stop & Shop, issued notices saying they'd removed the chips from shelves.

Anyone who bought the chips may return them to the store for a full refund, the FDA said.

The chips were all sold in nine-ounce bags. They are Garden of Eatin' Multi Grain Sea Salt Tortilla Chips, Garden of Eatin' Multi Grain Everything Tortilla Chips and Garden of Eatin' Multi Grain Blues Sea Salt Tortilla Chips.

No other Garden of Eatin' products were recalled.

Consumers with questions or concerns may call (800) 434-4246 weekdays from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. and weekends  10 a.m.-6 p.m.
