Hain to sell organic baby formula in China

Earth's Best
A Melville company is set to sell organic baby formula in China.
Organic food maker Hain Celestial Group Inc. says its Earth's Best brand will take as a partner the China-based Zhi Ling Tong company.
The formula will be manufactured in Switzerland. And the partnership will operate through Hain Celestial's subsidiary Hutchison Hain Organic Holdings Ltd.
China's baby formula market is worth about $3.4 billion a year.
The venture has already completed the "China importation and certification process with approval from the Guangdong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of The People's Republic of China and a certificate of organic certification from the China Organic Food Certification Centre," Hain says.
Zhi Ling Tong is a premium infant nutrition brand in China from Hutchison China Meditech Ltd., Hain said. And Earth's Best is a leading brand of organic baby food in the United States and Canada.
