Hauppauge industry group has new chief

The Hauppauge Industrial Association, known as HIA-LI, has a new board chairwoman. Elana Zolfo, a longtime board member, a former vice chair of the association's board, and an official at Dowling College.
She is “well-respected among the business community for her leadership in workforce development, training and continuing education,“ the HIA said in a news release.
Zolfo is interim provost and vice president for corporate programs and continuing education at Dowling College.
She “has strong corporate experience and has worked with HIA-LI for more than a decade. Her focus and dedication in improving the workforce to better meet the needs of a prospering economy is exactly what Long Island needs, and we look forward to her leadership in this key role with the organization,” Terri Alessi-Miceli, HIA-LI president, said.
