Hauppauge photo company gets into teleprompters

Tiffen Co., the Hauppauge videography and photo equipment manufacturer, has agreed to take over the operations of a neighboring company that makes teleprompters.
Listec Video Corp., also of Hauppauge, said it viewed the arrangement as a partnership. Under the agreement Tiffen will make all Listec products, and distribute and market them worldwide.
Listec vice president Raymond Blumenthal said the arrangement “allows us to concentrate on what we do best, create innovative, functional and elegant tools for today's market.”
Tiffen’s brands include Tiffen filters, Steadicam camera stabilizers, Davis & Sanford and Lowel Light. It sells to industry and consumers in the still photography, motion picture and broadcast markets.
