The Patchogue Planning Board is to hold a hearing on a proposed new restaurant in May or June, after postponing planned discussions last week, board attorney Joseph Buzzell said.

Sayville attorney Eric Russo asked to reschedule the hearing on behalf of his client, Frank Priolo III, village officials said.

Priolo wants to demolish The Riverview Boat Yard and Marina, which includes a two-story building at Campbell Street and Argyle Lane, and open a one-floor, 57-seat restaurant and bar.

But residents have raised concerns that the business would increase traffic and generate quality of life issues.

Village officials said that Priolo would have to pay for any traffic study or site plan review.

The board is to hear public comments at a later date.
